Terms & Conditions

By accessing, registering for, or using NextStepApi's platform, APIs, or any related services ("Services"), you ("User", "Customer", or "you") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), along with our Privacy Policy.

If you are accessing the Services on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.

NextStepApi Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

NextStepApi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services in accordance with these Terms. Our Services include but are not limited to:

• Identity verification APIs (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving License)
• Business verification APIs (GST, MCA, Director KYC)
• Financial services APIs (Bank Account Validation, IFSC Lookup)
• Communication APIs (Bulk SMS, Email Verification)
• Utility APIs (IP Geolocation, Currency Exchange, Fuel Price, PNR Status)

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable Indian laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the UIDAI regulations, and the RBI guidelines.

To access most of our Services, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensuring your contact information remains current and accurate

Accounts are for individual or organizational use only. You may not resell, sublicense, or transfer your account access without prior written consent from NextStepApi.

Your use of the APIs is subject to rate limits and usage quotas as specified in your subscription plan. These limits are in place to ensure fair usage and platform stability.

• Free tier accounts receive 500 API calls at no cost
• Rate limits vary by plan — see our pricing page for details
• Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or account suspension
• We reserve the right to modify rate limits with 14 days' notice
• API calls that return errors may still count towards your usage quota

You agree not to circumvent rate limits through technical means, including but not limited to using multiple accounts, IP rotation, or automated API key generation.

NextStepApi operates on a pay-as-you-go model. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Payments are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy
• Credits once purchased remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
• We accept credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and wire transfers
• Failed API calls due to invalid input may still be charged at a reduced rate
• Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
• Invoices are automatically generated and emailed after each transaction

We take data privacy seriously. Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• We do not store sensitive user data (Aadhaar numbers, PAN, biometrics) after API responses
• API request logs are retained for 90 days for debugging and fraud detection
• You are responsible for obtaining proper consent from your end-users
• You must comply with all applicable data protection laws including PDPA and GDPR (if applicable)
• Data transfers are encrypted using TLS 1.3

All content, APIs, documentation, software, trademarks, and brand elements associated with NextStepApi are the exclusive intellectual property of NextStepApi Private Limited or its licensors. You are granted no ownership rights.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from our Services, APIs, or documentation without express written permission. The NextStepApi name, logo, and product names are registered trademarks and may not be used without written consent.

You expressly agree NOT to use the Services for any of the following:

• Any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
• Identity theft, impersonation, or unauthorized verification of third-party individuals
• Reselling or white-labeling API access without a reseller agreement
• Bulk data harvesting, scraping, or building competing API products
• Automated access that violates rate limits or degrades platform performance
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
• Any purpose that violates UIDAI, RBI, SEBI, or other Indian regulatory guidelines
• Transmitting malware, viruses, or any malicious code

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NextStepApi and its directors, employees, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of revenue, profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from API downtime, data inaccuracies, or service interruptions
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any matter beyond our reasonable control

Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to NextStepApi in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may close your account by contacting our support team. We may suspend or terminate your access with or without notice if:

• You violate any provision of these Terms
• Your account has been inactive for more than 12 months
• We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority
• We discontinue the service (with 30 days' notice)

Upon termination, your right to access the Services immediately ceases. Any unused credits at termination may be refunded at our discretion as per our Refund Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
